WHERE TO FLY
There are three main international airports in Cambodia: Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville and Siem Reap. Each vary in price, flight frequency, distance and cost. To help you book the right flight, we've popped some info below on each airport, including average cost and distance to Kampot.
Option 1: Phnom Penh
As the capital city, Phnom Penh is usually the cheapest airport to fly into..
Phnom Penh to Kampot is around a 3 hour taxi ride ($45) or a 3 hour bus ride ($7).
Option 2: Sihanoukville
Sihanoukville Airport is the closest airport but usually flights are less frequent and more expensive.
Sihanoukville to Kampot takes around 1.5 hours by taxi ($35) or a 2 hour bus ride ($6).
Option 3: Siem Reap
Siem Reap Airport is located close to the Angkor Wat heritage site but is the furthest airport from us.
Siem Reap to Kampot is around a 7 hour taxi journey ($120), a 14 hour sleeper bus ($19) or a 1 hour flight to Sihanoukville Airport.

Bordering Cambodia makes both Thailand and Vietnam easy destinations for a stopover. The cheapest option is to travel overground and hop on one of the daily or nightly sleeper buses. Alternatively, you can book a direct flight to our closest airport in Sihanoukville.
